Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee Stoffregen have issued invitations to the wedding of their daughter, Katherine MacDonald, to Dr. Fielding Lewis Wilson. The wedding will take place Saturday evening, November 7 at 8 o’clock, at the Presbyterian Church, Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Brides-Elect Honored at Attractive Bridge Party. Miss Agnes Groggan Wallace and Miss Katherine MacDonald Stoffregen, whose approaching marriages are of interest, were the guests in whose honor Miss Anne Harrison Shepherd entertained at a delightful bridge party yesterday afternoon at her Washington Avenue home.
Eight tables of bridge were in progress and at the conclusion of the game, delicious refreshments were served.
The high score prize was won by Miss Susie Embrey while Miss Susie Willcox received the second award. Both Miss Wallace and Miss Stoffregen were the recipients of attractive guest prizes.
Miss Harrison’s guests included Miss Wallace, Miss Stoffregen, the Mesdames John Braden Quicksall, Charles P. Rector, Sidney L. Scott, Jere M. H. Willis, J. Edward Tompkins, and the Misses Mary Hansford Wallace, Caroline Gibson Reid, Harriet Halsey, Alice Rodgers, Ellen Knox, Anna Paige Green, Lily Braxton Wallace, Susie Willcox, Betsy Embrey, Constance Young, Nancy King, Susie Embrey, Virginia Melton, Catesby Willis, Mildred Pitzer, Harriet Owens, Virginia Tompkins, Mary Wilmer Houston, Helen Norris, Alice Chichester, Betsy Ann Steele, Beth Faulkner and Frances Thornton.
Those playing were Miss Stoffregen, Miss Blanche Russell, Miss Margaret Tinder, Miss Katherine Tinder, Miss Betsy Embrey, Miss Margaret Garth, Miss Alice Chichester, Miss Virginia Tompkins, Miss Nancy King, Mrs. L. Philip Cox, Mrs. George L. Hunter, Jr., Mrs. John B. Quicksall.
The Misses Tinder Hosts At Delightful Affair.
Miss Margaret Tinder and Miss Katherine Tinder entertained at a delightful bridge party on Monday afternoon in honor of Miss Katherine Stoffregen, whose marriage to Dr. Fielding L. Wilson will take place Saturday evening.
Miss Nancy King was awarded the high score prize and Miss Stoffregen was the recipient of a guest prize.
The guests included Miss Stoffregen, Miss Constance Young, Miss Nancy King, Mrs. Philip Cox, Miss Virginia Melton, Mrs. George L. Hunter,jr. Mrs. Sidney L. Scott, jr., Miss Susie Wilcox, Miss Anne Harrison Shepherd, Miss Alice Chichester, Miss Virginia Tompkins, Miss Beatrice Thornton, and Miss Betsy Embrey.
Miss Stoffregen Honor Guest At Attractive Bridge Party.
Miss Constance Young entertained at a delightful bridge party at her home on Prince Edward Street yesterday afternoon in honor of Miss Katherine Stoffregen, whose marriage to Dr. Fielding Lewis Wilson will take place on Saturday evening, November 7.
Miss Betsy Embrey was awarded high score prize while Miss Stoffregen was presented with a guest prize.
Following the game a four course supper was served a color scheme of green and white being carried out in the table decorations.
Beside the hostess and the guest of honor, the following were present, Miss Betsy Embrey, Miss Anne Harrison Shepherd, Miss Frances Thornton, Mrs. George L. Hunter, Jr., Miss Alice Chichester, Miss Margaret Tinder, Miss Susie Wilcox and Miss Nancy King.”
